Enterprise business intelligence projects are often very large because there’s data coming from all different sources and each area has their own metrics. You may find yourself stuck getting data or KPI’s from one side of the organization, which holds up the entire project.

You want your BI dashboard to show everything but it takes time to get all the data, validate the data and consistency. Instead of trying to implement everything at one time, try taking one bite at a time. Breakdown the KPI’s needed into modules so as you implement a KPI and validate the data you can roll out that module while other modules are still being worked on.
