STOP Wasting Money Due To Lack Of Analytics

I read an article the other day written by Joe Curtis called “Firms ‘wasting money on data centres of lack of analytics’” Mr. Curtis was correct that firms are wasting money due to the lack of analytics but not just on data centers. Firms are wasting money on resources, software, hardware, and much more due to the lack of accurate analytics.

Firms spend money on a lot of different items but how do they really know if the money is being spent on something that is really needed? Do you spend money on bringing in more resources just because someone says we need more people? Do you spend money on bringing in new resources just to meet a deadline/objective? If so, how do you know how long those resources are really needed?

A BI dashboard should show you the number of resources working on specific systems/functions as well as the current cost and estimated future cost. A BI dashboard should also show you how far off you are from meeting a deadline/objective. If you have this type of information at your fingertips automatically you can make informed decisions to determine if you need to spend additional money on restructuring your team, additional resources, training needs, etc.

So in the end, stop wasting money due to invalid and/or lack analytics.
